UTC RETAIL is a privately held corporation doing business since 1988, operating out of three facilities in the U.S.: Victor, NY (outside of Rochester), Cleveland, OH, and Scottsdale, AZ.

Participation of Cross Functional Teams

Formalized Performance Management System
To maximize an employee's professional performance and growth, the manager and the employee create annual goals and objectives with corresponding deadlines for completion. These goals and objectives are directly tied to UTC RETAIL's Strategic Plan. One-on-One meetings are scheduled on a regular basis when each manager and employee meet to update and review the current status of projects, and discuss any impediments or changes in the objectives. An Annual Performance Review session is conducted between the manager and employee to review the past year's results, discuss ways to improve or make changes, and to create new objectives or programs for the next year.

360-Degree Performance Feedback Program
Our annual 360-Degree Feedback Program encourages employees, managers, and customers to provide candid and honest feedback to each other about their performances from a cross functional perspective. UTC RETAIL is an extremely dynamic company in an industry experiencing rapid growth. We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Manager.

Looking for someone with:

  • Proven track record selling software solutions into the mid-size specialty retail market
  • Well developed skill set in team selling and complex sales cycle management  
  • Strong ability to accurately assess client requirements, articulate these needs to multiple internal parties, and create a plan to address and overcome any obstacles to winning the business
  • Effective time management and organization skills, along with the capability to demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, when necessary
  • High-level of personal integrity and business ethics

 
Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory
  • Identify add-on sales with existing customer base
  • Exceed revenue targets for hardware, software and professional services
  • Drive complete sales cycle from inception through contract
  • Lead a cross-departmental team to present a unified solution to the prospect
  • Track sales activities and forecast business in a timely and accurate manner
  • Other duties as needed, such as general administration and telemarketing/lead generation for the assigned territory

 
Position is home office based and can be anywhere in the US. Position will also require travel for sales meetings, client calls, internal meetings and various industry events.
 
 
Minimum job qualifications for this position include:

  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience selling retail Enterprise, POS and/or point solutions
  • Ability to sell to and interact with multiple departments and levels within an organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Some experience with SalesForce desired
  • College degree preferred

UTC RETAIL is an extremely dynamic company in an industry experiencing rapid growth. We are currently looking for a Customer Support Specialist.

Looking for someone with the ability to provide:
  • Excellent customer service by assisting the sales reps in all aspects of the sales process.
  • General information to the public regarding UTC RETAIL hardware, software and services.
  • Ideas and input on methods to build upon current UTC RETAIL procedures, processes, etc.


Roles and responsibilities for this position include:

  • Order entry: includes external customer orders, as well as internal department order needs. Also includes customs paperwork for orders to be shipped outside of the US.
  • Customer communication: via telephone and/or e-mail, in regards to all aspects of the company, such as sales, repairs, troubleshooting, shipping, order status, etc.
  • Internal department communication: work as liaison between the customer and UTC RETAIL, as well as between the sales department and other departments within the company, including engineering, service, finance, etc.
  • Revenue analysis and reporting: review and provide sales revenue information, as needed.
  • Quotes/Proposals/RFP responses: create and collate sales quotes and proposals to be presented to current and potential customers, as well as the archival of these documents to the UTC RETAIL network.
  • Hardware warranty expiration notification: maintain and review hardware warranty expiration information. Offer customers warranty extensions, as needed.
  • Phone coverage: serve as back-up to administrative assistant for UTC RETAIL main phone line coverage, as needed.


Minimum job qualifications for this position include:

  • Demonstrate the ability to process documents with close attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate strong data entry skills. Previous experience in customer service is a must.
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective written communication skills.
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing work assignments to meet all department objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of departments within the company.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment and filing systems.
  • Proven working knowledge of basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Associates degree and/or 5 years of experience preferred.
