Continuous Development of Our People
We are dedicated to providing continuous learning and development opportunities for our employees. As an UTC RETAIL employee, you will be supported, encouraged, and given the resources and tools you need to meet your professional development goals. Below are some of the specialized training programs and processes we conduct to help our employees develop and grow with the company.

Company Sponsored Training
Throughout each calendar year, UTC RETAIL sponsors company wide training programs for our employees on a variety of topics including: Personal Accountability, FISH Philosophy; Diversity, and Lean Manufacturing, to name a few.

All of our programs are carefully selected to promote a positive, energized work environment, develop leadership and accountability at all levels of the organization.

Personal Development Training
Each employee works individually with their manager to determine the training or development activities they need to improve or augment appropriate skills and knowledge for their specific career responsibilities at UTC RETAIL.

Tuition Reimbursement
UTC RETAIL offers a very generous Tuition Reimbursement benefit to those employees who want to return to school to take either job related courses or job related degree programs.

Participation of Cross Functional Teams
UTC RETAIL recognizes that our success depends on being able to solve customer's problems timely and effectively. Cross-functional teams comprised of individuals from all functional departments execute many of our company's primary projects. Cross-Functional teams promote creative thinking and decision making throughout the organization. Additionally, they encourage communication and understanding between different areas of responsibility in the company and draw on unique perspectives for problem solving and execution of programs.

Formalized Performance Management System
To maximize an employee's professional performance and growth, the manager and the employee create annual goals and objectives with corresponding deadlines for completion. These goals and objectives are directly tied to UTC RETAIL's Strategic Plan. One-on-One meetings are scheduled on a regular basis when each manager and employee meet to update and review the current status of projects, and discuss any impediments or changes in the objectives. An Annual Performance Review session is conducted between the manager and employee to review the past year's results, discuss ways to improve or make changes, and to create new objectives or programs for the next year.

360-Degree Performance Feedback Program
Our annual 360-Degree Feedback Program encourages employees, managers, and customers to provide candid and honest feedback to each other about their performances from a cross functional perspective. The intent of the feedback program is to leverage employee strengths and identify developmental opportunities. We also use 360 Feedback to assist in the establishment of annual performance objectives for our employees.
